When I first quit meth, Sky recommended Celexa. I went to the doc and the first thing out of his mouth was Prozac and I said no thanks..I told him a friend had sugggested Celexa so I tried that, which seemed to work ok...not a miracle or anything but "ok."

This probably belongs more in my journal but I'm gonna say this here anyway. Last week I quit smoking cigs and gave up the beer, too. So far, so good-ish but I have had my bad days. Very bad days; not so much depressed but irritable and NOT fun to be around....anyway, a friend of mine (and I do not recommend this to anyone) noticed me being an @#%$ so he said, here, take this...I was like, what is it? It's a xanax, he said.

Ok....

I took it home and did some research as I had heard of it but had never taken it. Turns out it's an anti-anxiety thing I'm sure most of you know about but my point is he gave me one pill (it was in four sections) and said to take a 1/4 of it. Well, I did and personally, it worked for me. Like I said, I don't recommend taking someone elses meds. That was my decision and probably not the wisest I've ever made but dang....I sure didn't care about smoking or drinking for a while.

I guess my point here is meds will work and sometimes you've got to be patient to find the right one for you. If I do decide to pursue the route of taking xanax to see me through two very big addictions I've chosen to give up, I will certainly do it the legal way...Doctors are not perfect; no one is, for that matter. So be patient and keep plugging away. 15 months clean is fantastic, blackp!

Hope,

P.S. Don't do meth.
